1. PROFILE ACCOUNT

1.1 This Profile Account is owned and operated by Scandinavian Airlines System Denmark-Norway-Sweden, a consortium established under the laws of Denmark, Norway and Sweden, and having its principle office at Frösundaviks allé 1, SE-195 87 Stockholm, Sweden, (hereafter “SAS”, “Us” or “We”)

1.2 Please read through and familiarize yourself with these Terms and Conditions before creating a Profile Account. 

1.3 If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions you are not allowed to, and agree not to, set up an account.

1.4 These Terms and Conditions refer only to your use of this Profile Account. Separate conditions apply to airline carriage, membership in EuroBonus or any promotions which SAS may have from time to time. If you purchase a flight ticket for a flight operated by SAS, SAS’ Conditions of Carriage apply.

1.5 SAS is to be notified in writing of changes and/or additions to your personal information that is not possible to change/add in your account Profilee online. Upon change of name or registering of date of birth documentation must be attached confirming the information, e.g. copy of valid passport. As soon as the new information has been verified the documentation submitted will be destroyed. Please observe that when you book a flight ticket while you are logged in your credentials at the time will be applied to the ticket. Any changes in the personal profile in your account will not be reflected in flight tickets booked before profile changes.

1.6 Any information you supply to us when you register and are logged in to your Profile Account and use our website will be used in accordance with section 2 in these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. Information about Cookies and the use of Cookies on this website is provided in SAS’ Cookie Policy.

1.7 SAS reserves the right to terminate the Profile Account in cases which SAS deems constitute misuse. 

1.8 Your personal login details and booking information (e.g. booking reference) are your personal responsibility. If you have reason to believe that your [log in] account is no longer secure you must change your log in credentials immediately.

2. PERSONAL INFORMATION 

2.1 By creating a Profile Account you consent to SAS registering and processing your personal information and your activities while logged in and using SAS’ website. You also consent to SAS communicating with you according to what is set out in this Section 2 and in accordance with your consent, or not, to receive marketing from SAS. SAS will not register or process any sensitive personal information within the Profile Account.

2.2 SAS registers and processes the following personal information about you and your activities, collectively the “personal information”: - the personal data submitted when creating the Profile Account and/or updating the account; - all details collected by SAS and SAS’ business partners regarding travel, hotel and car rental purchases, including origin and destination for the trip, carrier, type of tickets, duration of stay, name and location of the hotel, type of room, car rented, rental time, time of purchase and amounts paid; - all details regarding other purchases or activities, including the items purchased, time for the purchase and amounts paid; - data obtained from SAS’ business partners and external sources including, but not limited to, aggregated information about you from third parties, information on home ownership, members of household and vehicle ownership.

2.3 SAS may also pool personal information collected by SAS with personal information obtained from SAS’ business partners and external sources.

2.4 The personal information is registered and processed for the following purposes: (i) to administer the Profile Account and, (ii) to manage and carry out bookings, (iii) to analyze your behavior and predict your preferences, (iv) to evaluate and improve SAS’ and SAS’ business partners’ business, (v) to update your address and contact information and cancel/block accounts of deceased customers, (vi) to compile offers and activities alone or together with SAS’ business partners, and (vii) to provide customer oriented and personalized marketing of SAS’ or SAS’ business partners’ products and services by SAS or SAS’ business partners.

2.5 All personal information regarding you is processed by SAS as long as you are registered with an account and your personal information is retained until the Profile Account is terminated. Personal information regarding travel, hotel and car rental purchases and other purchases will only be processed for the purposes set out in Section 2.4 (iii)-(vii) for three years from the date it was first collected or subsequently updated. 

2.6 Personal information can be shared with SAS’ business partners in order to coordinate special offers and activities. SAS’ business partners may then pool the personal information received from SAS with its own personal information. In the latter case the relevant SAS business partner is the data controller and legal person responsible for the handling of that personal information.

2.7 Personal information that is collected from you or shared within the SAS group or with SAS’ business partners can be processed in countries that do not belong to the European Union or the European Economic Area when you are logged in outside the European Union or the EEA.

2.8 SAS may use post, phone (including mobile phone, SMS and MMS), email, social media and other digital channels to communicate with you. SAS may send promotional communications to you concerning SAS and SAS’ business partners respective products and services through the aforementioned means of communication. 

2.9 Scandinavian Airlines System Denmark-Norway-Sweden (SAS) is the data controller and legal person responsible for personal information in accordance with applicable legislation on personal information, unless otherwise stated in these Terms and Conditions. You are entitled to access your personal information and receive information about how your personal information is processed by SAS by contacting Us in accordance with section 1.9. You are also entitled to request that SAS corrects information that is incorrect or incomplete and to obtain from SAS that your personal information is erased, except in such cases where SAS has a legitimate interest to keep such information. You can also request that personal information is not used for direct marketing purposes by using the links in the relevant digital communication contacting or by contacting SAS in accordance with section 1.9.

 

3. GENERAL

3.1 Except as provided for in any applicable mandatory law, SAS has no responsibility and shall not be liable for any cost or other damage incurred by you except as expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions. Further, SAS is not liable for any cost or damage incurred by anyone else than you. 

3.2 SAS is responsible only for the part that involves the SAS flight itself in accordance with SAS conditions of carriage and applicable service terms. All arrangements, benefits and services in addition to the SAS flight are beyond the responsibility of SAS. 

3.3 Occasionally, you may receive special offers. These can be of limited duration or number, for certain markets and for specific groups of users. Registration can also be necessary to be able to take advantage of these offers.

3.4 Legal guardians of [log in] account users less than 16 years of age are responsible for ensuring that the minor follows the Terms and Conditions. Legal guardians are also responsible for minors’ use of trips, offers and benefits. 

3.5 SAS reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. New Terms and Conditions apply without exceptions from date set. You must keep yourself informed of applicable terms. SAS will provide information on changes on your request and the applicable version of SAS Terms and Conditions are available here

3.6 You can at any time terminate your Profile Account by contacting SAS Customer Care in accordance with section 1.9. After termination of the account SAS will delete and stop processing your personal information, save for such information where SAS has a legitimate interest in saving and processing. All information in your account will no longer be accessible.

3.7 SAS is entitled to terminate your account at any time at SAS’ discretion. All information in your account will no longer be accessible.

 

4. DISPUTES AND APPLICABLE LAW

4.1 To the extent permissible by local law or regulation these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Swedish law. You and SAS submit, to the extent permitted by local law or regulation, to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the district court of Stockholm to resolve any dispute that may arise out of these Terms and Conditions. 

4.2 Any provision of these Terms and Conditions declared void or unenforceable by any competent authority or court shall, to the extent of such invalidity or unenforceability, be deemed severable and shall not affect the other provisions remaining which shall continue unaffected. 

4.3 These Terms and Conditions replace all previous versions thereof.
