      Anyone with a booking in SAS Go or SAS Plus can place a bid or buy an upgrade to get access to a better travel class.

      When your upgrade has been confirmed, it's possible to choose your seat, buy extra baggage and other travel extras.

      • How to bid for an upgrade

        Upgrade to SAS Plus or SAS Business by making an offer online. You can make an offer up to 48 hours before departure on all flights operated by SAS.

        If we have instant upgrades available on your flight you also have the option to use the “Buy now” button. This means you can buy an upgrade at at fixed price instead of making a bid. You will get your confirmation and be charged straight away.

        Pay by credit card or using EuroBonus points. You’ll be notified by email of whether your upgrade offer was accepted or not, 36 hours before departure at latest. If your bid is accepted, you will receive an upgraded boarding pass when you check in. 

        If your upgrade is confirmed, your credit card will be charged/points will be deducted from your EuroBonus account 36 hours before departure.  

      • Buy upgrade at the airport

        If you don't get the upgrade you want with SAS Upgrade, you can always buy an upgrade at the airport if there's enough room in the preferred travel class on your flight. This applies to flights to/from the US and Asia. You can pay in cash or with your EuroBonus points.

      • Confirmed Upgrade

        Your ticket conditions will be same as for your original ticket in terms of baggage, cancellation, change fees and other conditions. You have the possibility to choose your seat, buy extra baggage and other travel extras through My bookings.

        • Speed through security with Fast Track where available.
        • Free access to our SAS Lounges where available.
        • Wider, more comfortable seats with extra legroom, to/from Asia and the US.
        • Complimentary food and beverages onboard.
        • Free WiFi when available, within Europe/Scandinavia.

        • Free access to our SAS Lounges where available.
        • A delicious three-course meal and a wide selection of beverages, fruit and snacks throughout the flight.
        • Highest level of comfort in a massage seat that easily converts into a fully flat bed.
        • Complimentary comfort kit to freshen up.
        • Free WiFi when available.

        A confirmed upgrade to SAS Plus or SAS Business does not include increased baggage allowance.
      • Restrictions
        • Your ticket conditions will be same as for your original ticket in terms of cancellation, change fees and other conditions.  
        • If you have purchased an award ticket you will not accrue EuroBonus points on your upgrade as award tickets are not eligible for point accrual. 
        • Travelers who are traveling with animals (except for service animals) cannot place a bid or pay for an upgrade.
        • Travelers who are part of a group booking (G class) cannot place a bid or pay for an upgrade.
        • Travelers with infants can only apply for an upgrade to SAS Plus, not to SAS Business.
        • The number of seats available for upgrades is limited. 
        • SAS reserves the right to accept or reject an upgrade offer on certain flights in line with criteria determined by SAS and updated from time to time at the sole discretion of SAS such as flight status, offer amount, etc.
        • The baggage allowance in your original ticket applies if you are upgraded.
        • Previously purchased travel extras are not refundable. They will not be reimbursed should you receive an upgrade.
