HOW MANY BAGS ARE YOU ALLOWED TO BRING?

The number and weight of free baggage items permitted on SAS flights varies on the type of ticket you’re traveling on and your EuroBonus membership tier level.

Baggage size must not exceed;

  • Height 55 cm, width 40 cm, depth 23 cm for carry-on bag
  • Length, Width, Height can be no more than 158 cm for check-in bag

 

If you are a EuroBonus member travelling in SAS Go, SAS Plus and SAS Business (except SAS Go Light), you are allowed to carry extra bag/bags (weight according to booking class) based on your membership tier level.

  • Silver or Star Alliance Gold member have 1 additional checked-in bag
  • Gold or Diamond member have 2 additional checked-in bags.

 

Please be informed that EuroBonus members travelling in SAS Go Light have no additional checked-in baggage allowance.

In addition to this allowance, all passengers are allowed to bring a handbag or small laptop bag onboard for free with size not exceeding size (Height 40 cm, Width 30 cm, Depth 15 cm)


TRAVELLING WITH CHILDREN/INFANT?

Infants under 2 years of age can bring one piece of check-in baggage weighing up to 23 kg with maximum dimensions of 158 cm when travelling in SAS Go, Plus and Business. No carry-on bag included for infants.

Children over 2 years of age have the same baggage allowance as adults in each travel class.

Children up to 11 years of age can bring a stroller and a car safety seat free of charge. In SAS Go light, no checked baggage permitted except for one stroller and one car safety seat.

TRAVELLING WITH SPECIAL BAGGAGE?

If you plan to travel with bike, ski, snowboard or golf equipment, ensure that you register it for approval while booking your ticket or in Manage my booking. To register other special baggage, see our website.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • For departures from Shanghai (PVG- Pudong Airport), carry-on baggage maximum dimensions should not exceed 115 cm
  • You can check in up to 9 additional pieces of baggage for a fee. If you want to take more, you can send them by cargo
  • Some of our aircrafts are small. If you fly on one, we may ask you to leave your carry-on bag at the door, where it will be checked in and returned to you when you leave the aircraft
  • If you’re continuing your trip on another airline, other regulations may apply. More information about the baggage you can bring is available on the airline’s web page
